Build a slab planter with drainage hole
A step beyond the basic box: this has a functional requirement: the hole.
Specifications
- Rectangular planter, at least 12 cm tall
- Drainage hole in the base (cut before assembly)
- All interior seams reinforced with coils
- Clean, straight edges throughout
Tips
- Cut the drainage hole while the base slab is flat (much easier than after assembly)
- Make the hole at least 1 cm diameter (it will shrink)
- Dry this piece slowly under plastic; slab forms crack easily if dried unevenly
