Throw four matching mug bodies

You can't sell (or gift) a set of mismatched mugs. Time to train consistency.

Throw four mug bodies from 350 g each, all roughly the same height, diameter, and wall thickness.

Tools

• Use calipers or a ruler to check dimensions after each one
• A throwing gauge (a stick on a stand) helps maintain height

Assessment

Line them up. They should look like they came from the same potter on the same day. Small variations are fine, but one outlier means your technique drifted.

Why four?

Four is the minimum "set" that looks intentional. Three could be coincidence. Four is a statement.
